The name Motivate Ears reflects our dual ambition: to awaken the listener’s senses, and to spark the creator’s imagination. Every pair we produce is a statement of our dedication to sound, and a tribute to those who dare to create.
Founded by a team of musicians and sound designers from the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Motivate Ears exists to empower creators with tools that go beyond technical excellence. Our headphones are designed not merely for superior audio, but to create a personalized sound environment where ideas are heard clearly and inspiration flows freely.

As artists ourselves, we’ve faced the same challenges — seeking headphones that deliver professional-grade sound, offer long-term comfort, and remain financially accessible. The market lacked a solution that balanced all three. So we decided to build our own.
From acoustic tuning to ergonomic design, every detail has been developed and refined through hands-on experimentation and direct feedback from fellow creators.
