ABOUT US
We, Jacky and Mitch, are both graduates of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts.
During our years at the Academy, we learned more than just techniques — we discovered how sound can shape atmosphere, convey emotion, and drive a story forward. Later, through our work in theatres and studios, we came to realize: sound can empower creation, but at times, it can also stand in the way.
At the same time, we were also audio enthusiasts. Out of passion, we started a small shop selling earphone upgrade cables and distributing different brands. We listened to countless earphones during that time, but often felt that for musicians, something was always missing. Some sounded impressive yet impractical, while others were overly complex and overlooked the subtle needs of the creative process.
Perhaps because of our background — from the stage, from behind the scenes — our perspective on sound was different. We began to ask ourselves:
What if there could be a pair of earphones truly designed for creators?
That question became the beginning of Motivate Ears.

From this beginning, we realized that earphones should not only be a tool to play sound.
We wanted them to become a space: a place where creators can stay focused, where inspiration flows without interruption, and where ideas can truly be heard.
We believe that sound is not just for listening — it is an extension of the creator’s inner self. At Motivate Ears, we aim to build earphones that are not only “good-sounding,” but that can also understand the sensitivity and subtlety of the creative process.
For us, Motivate Ears is more than just a name. It is a statement:
Music deserves to be heard. Dreams should never be left behind.
That is the reason we keep going.
Our Mission
Create earphones that truly serve musicians.
We are creators and backstage professionals ourselves. We know the frustration of not finding the right pair of earphones. High-quality sound, comfortable fit, and affordability — easy to say, hard to find. So we thought: if it doesn’t exist, why not build it ourselves?
From tuning the sound, to perfecting the fit, to refining every design detail, we tested and adjusted step by step, always with one goal in mind:
to make earphones that become a creator’s most reliable partner.
We call ourselves Motivate Ears not just to “move the ears,” but to spark creativity.
Every pair of earphones we make carries our understanding of sound, and our commitment to supporting every creator on their journey.
